Blade manufacturing process:
I.O.Shen Mastergrade knives are made using Triplex Steel Technology, a process which uses three different layers of steel to create the blade – one layer of super hard steel (Rockwell 62°) between two layers of softer stainless steel (Rockwell 10°). This process not only provides an amazingly sharp cutting edge but maintains this blade for an incredible amount of time.

Tai Tang handle:
The Tai Tang handle has a unique design that distinguishes the knife as an I.O.Shen.; this design is not merely a beautiful embellishment drawn onto the handle, but an integral part of the handle’s framework and essential in giving the knife excellent balance and stability. Made from a synthetic material called ebonite, the handle is both durable and heat resistant.

I.O.Shen Mastergrade knives come with a lifetime guarantee.

We recommend that knives are stored either in a knife block (resting on the back of the blade – this helps to protect the sharpened edge of the blade from damage) or on a magnetic block. We do not recommend storing knives loose in a drawer, as this may cause damage to the blade and reduce the longevity of the knife.

I.O.Shen knives are best washed by hand, then dried and immediately stored; dishwasher cleaning is not recommended.

About I.O.Shen
The I.O.Shen brand was only launched in 2004, but in its short life has won the 2007 "Excellence In Housewares" award. Since its launch it has expanded to Australia, South Africa, America and Europe, and is fast becoming a leading global knife brand.

I.O.Shen knives are made from Japanese steel, and assembled by family owned businesses in Japan and other Asian countries. The Kanji written on the side of the blade reads "Triplex Steel" (the technology used to create the blade), and if looked at carefully you should be able to read the initials "I O S" in the design of the Tai Tang handle.

Returns

You can be assured that if for any reason you find the goods are unsuitable you may return them to us within 30 days for either a full refund of the cost of the goods or exchange.

If the goods are damaged or defective when you receive them we will arrange for them to be returned to us and either replace them at our cost or provide a full refund including the original delivery charges as long as you notify us within 48hr of receiving the goods. You then have up to 30 days to return them to us.
